Driver guide
How to use the app
Everything you need to work with the app, in one place. Read it once — most questions are answered here.
Jump to:
1. Install and sign in
- Install the app from the store using the button below.
- Open it and type the email your dispatcher has on file. That is your login — there is no password.
- Check your email for a 5-digit code and type it into the app. Look in Spam if it doesn't arrive within a minute.
- That's it. The app stays signed in — you don't need to do this every day.
If you see…
- “We can't find a driver account with this email”
- Check the email for typos. If you have more than one email, try the others — dispatch may have a different one on file. Still nothing? Contact your dispatcher — they can update the email on your record to the one you use.
- “Too many attempts”
- Wait one minute and tap “Resend code”.
- “That code didn't work”
- Codes expire after 10 minutes. Use the code from the newest email, or resend.
2. Allow location and notifications
The app will ask for a few permissions on first start. Allow all of them — without them dispatch can't see your location or reach you.
- Location
- Allow While Using → then Change to Always Allow when asked
- Precise Location
- On
- Notifications
- Allow
Changed your mind later? Open Settings → Demix and set Location to Always, Precise Location On, Notifications On.
- Location
- Allow all the time, with Precise selected
- Notifications
- Allow
- Battery
- If asked, choose Unrestricted / turn off battery optimization for the app
Changed your mind later? Long-press the app icon → App info → Permissions. Set Location to Allow all the time, Notifications On. Under Battery choose Unrestricted.
3. Your status
Your status tells dispatch whether you’re available, hauling a company load, or unavailable. Change it as soon as something changes — not at the end of the day.
Available
You are ready for a company load — or already hauling one for the company.
This status shares your location with dispatch. Keep it while hauling a company load.
Busy
You’re unavailable for company loads, for example while hauling for another company.
Tell dispatch when and where you free up — both are required. Location sharing is off while busy.
Off duty
Vacation, sick, personal time, truck in the shop.
Pick a reason and, if you know it, the date you are back.
Changing or updating
- Tap a status to set it. Tap your current status to change the details (time, place, note).
- You can add a short note for dispatch to any status.
- If you see “No truck assigned yet”, contact your dispatcher to assign your truck.
Check-ins
From time to time the app asks “Still busy?” or “Are you free now?”. This is normal — just tap the answer. That keeps your status accurate without you having to remember.
4. Location sharing — how it works
While you are Available, the app sends your location to dispatch every 15 minutes by itself. You don't need to open it or tap anything.
For it to work:
- Keep the phone's GPS / Location on.
- Keep internet on (mobile data is enough).
- Don't force-close the app. Just press Home or switch to another app — it keeps working in the background.
What “force-close” means
Swiping up from the bottom, then swiping the app card away. Don't do that — just go to the Home screen instead.
Opening the recent-apps list and swiping the app away, or tapping “Close all” / “Clear all”. Don't do that — just press Home instead. Also avoid “cleaner” or “booster” apps that kill apps in the background.
How to tell it's working
- Location sharing on
- in the app next to your status — everything is fine.
- Location sharing off
- normal — sharing pauses while you are Busy or Off duty.
- Location blocked — check permissions
- a permission was turned off. See “Allow location and notifications” above.
- Location sharing paused
- a notification — open the app once and it resumes.
While Available, you'll also see a small “AVAILABLE” card on your Lock Screen with a countdown to the next update.
While Available, a small “You're AVAILABLE” notification stays in the notification bar. Don't swipe it away — that is the tracking running.
Battery use is small — roughly the same as a messenger app.
5. Chat with dispatch
One chat, straight to your dispatcher. Write like you would in a messenger.
- Tap the paperclip to send a photo, scan a document (BOL, POD), record a video, or attach a PDF.
- Photos and documents are stored in the chat — you don't need to send them again.
- “Not sent — tap to retry”: tap the message once you have signal.
- Long-press a message to reply to it or copy the text.
6. Something's wrong?
Most problems have a one-tap fix. If not — contact your dispatcher.
The sign-in code doesn't arrive
Check Spam / Junk. Make sure you typed the email exactly. Wait a minute and tap “Resend code”. Still nothing — ask your dispatcher to confirm the email on your account.
“We can't find a driver account”
Check the email for typos and try any other email you use. If none works, contact your dispatcher: they will tell you which email is on your record, or update it to the one you actually use.
I can't set a status / “No truck assigned yet”
Your truck isn't linked to your account yet. Contact your dispatcher.
Dispatch says they don't see my location
Check three things: your status is Available; the app says Location sharing on or a recent Location sent time; the app was not force-closed. If it says “Location blocked”, fix the permissions (section 2).
I don't get notifications
Open the app — if you see an orange “Notifications are off” bar, tap Turn on. Otherwise check the phone settings (section 2). On Android also make sure Do Not Disturb isn't silencing the app.
The app asks me to update
Tap Update — it takes you to the store. Old versions stop working after a while.
I got a new phone
Install the app and sign in with the same email. Your chat history and status come back. Allow the permissions again on the new phone.
How do I change the language?
Settings tab → Language. English, Russian and Ukrainian are available.
My status is managed by my owner-operator
If you drive for an owner-operator, they set your status. Location sharing still works from your phone as usual.
